Born in Sober, Galicia, where he began his musical studies. Sara is interested in the classical, contemporary and modern repertoire of the saxophone. Currently, he is part of MANAMA, a program specialized in contemporary music with the ensemble Ictus, Game and the University of Ghent.

 

Previously, she graduated from the Royal College of Music in London, where she did a Masters in Performance with Professor Martin Robertson and received a scholarship from the Big Give Awards. Sara is the winner of the 2018 Royal College of Music Contemporary Music competition.

During her musical studies with Emilio Vázquez, Sara was awarded the Extraordinary Final Degree Award, before being accepted to study her Higher Degree at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands (CSIB). There, he trained in the International Saxophone Classroom "Mallorca Saxophone Studio" with teachers Rodrigo Vila and David Brutti.

His training has been enriched by the advice of musicians such as Jean-Marie Londeix, Marie Bernadette Charrier, Marcus Weiss, Lars Mlekusch, Daniel Gauthier, Simon Diricq and composers such as Mauricio Sotelo, Jesus Torres, François Rossé, Christian Lauba and Alberto Posadas.

Sara has been at the 2018 edition of  Darmstadt Ferienkurse für Neue Musik. He has actively participated in the Mallorca Saxophone Festival since its fourth edition (2012). He has also collaborated with symphony orchestras such as the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra, the CSIB Symphony Orchestra or RCM New Perspectives.

Her concert activity has taken her to different venues in the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal and Thailand, such as  the Royal Academy of Arts, the Australian Embassy in London, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Royal Academy of Music, Sala Úrculo (Madrid), Eduardo del Pueyo Auditorium (Zaragoza), Mahidol University (Bangkok).
